Tai Chi Chuan often referred to in the West as “shadowboxing”, was originally designed for self defense. Today, it has been refined into a slow, graceful, rhythmic exercise which has the effect of promoting good health in all – young and old, strong, and weak. Many students taking Tai Chi report that their exercises help them reduce stress and achieve better clarity.
Additionally, in practicing Tai Chi Chuan, the body will become more agile and graceful, the mind alert and serene, and overall will promote good health and long life.
